You'll find the complete bid and supporting documents here: http://ozreport.com/docs/2020_Pan-American_Championships_bid.zip. Just right
click the link here and click save file.

We expect the CIVL Bureau to review and decide to accept or reject our bid by
the end of September. It apparently will be decided by the Bureau and not the
Plenary (in February).

Entry fees (excluding aerotow fees) are $550 per pilot

Aerotow fees are set at $650 per pilot (11 days). (This is a tentative number
based on past competitions and may change. We expect to have this figure
finalized in December 2018.) First practice day aerotow fee of $35 for those
choosing to fly on that day.

Pilots must meet the have following minimum ratings; hang 3 rating or foreign
equivalent; aerotow (AT), turbulence (TURB), and cross country (XC) or foreign
equivalent; and aerotow or evidence of extensive aerotowing experience. Pilots
must have USHPA membership (temporary 30-day memberships will be available at
minimal cost on site). Pilots must not have been listed in the NTSS ranking in
the top twenty US pilots since January 2008 for entry into sport class. Pilots
must not have finished in the top 2/3rd's of a non-Sport Class Category 1
competition held since January 2014, for entry into sport class. We use a
handicap system that will allow for pilots flying lower performance king-posted
hang gliders including beginner double-surface and single surface hang gliders
to compete with intermediate and advanced king-posted gliders.

We will be working on getting a significant sponsorship package which will
hopefully drastically reduce these fees.

The 2019 Big Spring Nationals will be the test event.

Saturday, August 10th through Saturday, August 17th.

Entry fee (not including aerotow fees): $250 per pilot. $450 aerotow fee per

may change. We expect to have this figure finalized in December 2018.)
