After successfully testing the Kandel area in 2018, the Dutch Open
will be at the Kandel in Germany (Black Forrest) from 15-22 June.

Kandel is great because:
- The area is great for beginner as well as advanced XC pilots (200+ km flights)
- The valley has got numerous big grass fields to land if necessary (it is called
black forrest, but there are not only trees
- The official landing field is a big grass field which is mowed by then
- The startplace is next to the parking place
- At the Kandel there is a restaurant and toilet
- The way to the top has got good asphalt road
- Very good and affordable camping/restaurants/apartment in a good atmosphere
Dutch Open:
- Last years we have tried different tracking devices. We decided to use the best
system and website available, which is Flymaster in combination with
livetrack24.
- Livetrack24 is in our opinion better because all the different map and tracking
functions work better then Flymaster and Airtribune, especially on mobile
devices.
- For competition organisation there are a lot of usefull tools to make work
easier.
- Good atmosphere
- Free pilot diner and tee-shirt (or other wearable)
- 3rd party liability insurance of at least 1.500.000.- is mandatory
