"Grøtterud" is a fairly large site, so even though it is nowadays mainly frequented by paraglider pilots, hang glider pilots should in my opinion not disregard it. It's location is superb, facing south at a bend in the river, with a long stretch of south facing hillsides to the west. At the take off, the "ceiling" is at 1060m, but it gets higher to the west. There's a dirt road up to a parking, then it's a horizontal footpath to a take off ramp very appropriate for hang gliders, as seen in the movie. The road is padlocked, so one has to contact a local club member. They usually meet at the bottom landing before driving up.
For a topographic or other (by using zoom) map of Hvittingfoss and it's surroundings (this procedure is appropriate regarding the location and surroundings of ANY place in Norway): http://ngis2.statkart.no/norgesglasset/default.html click on the British flag icon, write Hvittingfoss in the place names box + Enter Click on Hvittingfoss in Search results. Click on Show larger map.
The Grøtterud take off is at the triangulation point at 425m north of Hvittingfoss, the bottom landing is east of the 94 at Gravdal. One can return on foot to the take off and the parking, using the path that begins west of Gravdal - actually a nice walk without the glider!
