Markus' Rebuttal
In response to my recent article on flying conditions at Altes Lager Niedergörsdorf, Markus Hanisch <<email>> writes:
1. The new airspace restrictions (FL 75) will not apply above Altes Lager and Luesse during competition flying. We have reached respective agreements with the aviation bureaus.
2. Schoenefeld is not a new airport, but 75 years old. It's only renovated and will replace Tegel. No completely new airspace structure.
3. Up to 3300 m (10000ft) was reached during German Flatlands Paragliding 2007. As you can easily see from many HOLC published cross country flights, 2700 m was quite frequently reached. But this altitude is not at all necessary for good flying conditions.
