Possible out and return from Southern France to Austria/Slovenia – guidance needed

Although the snow and riding here is amazing I can’t stop thinking about this coming seasons cross country flying here in St. Andre Les Alpes.

This got me thinking. I wonder if it’s possible to fly from St. Andre to Austria/Slovenia and back in a fairly short time scale (7-10 days) using:

1. A support crew to retrieve en route if needed – hopefully using the air more than the car


2. Land and at night at the LZ of a great/reliable flying site


3. Use of a hotel each night to ensure good rest


4. Use the local site take off to carry on a new fresh leg of the cross country adventure

Hopefully, all this without scaring myself stupid or taking crazy life threatening risks. I am sure it is possible and I bet such an adventure has been done before. I am not certain it can be done taking acceptable risks.

If you live and fly locally en-route round this chain of mountains I would love to hear and connect with you. I live and fly St. Andre and could easily advise safe flying within 65km of St. Andre. If I could join the dots of knowledge from one to the other it would reduce risk and lift chances of success massively. If you know of books or blogs that you think might help I would be very grateful for more info.
