Wills Wing T2C proto's

Steve Pearson, Dustin Martin, and the Jeff's are always working on little things that may or may not make the T2C go just that much better. After flying the Moyes Litesport against the Moyes Litespeed I am a bit skeptical of the value of minor adjustments that don't also improve handling, but if I had beaten the Litesports overall I would have a much stronger leg to stand on.
The fact that I for the most part compared the Litesports to the Litespeeds was for the most part a statistical fluke. I would have loved to have spent more time flying time by side with Airborne C4's and Aeros Combats, but that just didn't happen except one day at the Bogong Cup (and I reported that). A say for the most part, because it was not just the case that there were quite a few more Litespeeds in the Australian comps than there were C4's and Combats. (Forty Litespeeds out of sixty two gliders. Ten Airborne C4's (or C2's). Seven Aeros Combats.
Given these basic numbers it is quite likely that if I was to fly next to someone it would be at least four times as likely that they would be flying a Moyes Litespeed. But, it's even more likely that I would be flying next to a Litespeed as I was flying well and the Moyes Litespeeds are a bit "over represented" (relative to their two thirds amount) in the top ten. They have seven of the top ten places and one of those top ten places is me in the Litesport.
So the odds are that if I had a chance to fly next to a glider, and assuming that the Litesport was able to keep up with the best pilots on Litespeeds, C4's, and Combats, that I would likely be flying near or next to Litespeeds and much less likely to be flying near other manufacturer's gliders.
But did I do too well compared to Litespeeds? Wouldn't have Gerolf been happier if I was flying next to C4's and Combats and doing better than them? Did I show up the Litespeeds, and raise the question in pilots' minds that maybe the "new" Litespeed wasn't all that great?
Of course, there were all sorts of different Litespeeds flying out there, the S versions, the RS versions, 3.5, 4 and 5 sizes. So it goes.
I do my best to report what I see. I can't make this stuff up.
