Lisa believes there is a fundamental issue within USHPA where the tail is wagging the dog, putting the board in a very difficult position. Lisa states that it is the regional director's responsibility to help educate the membership and avoid the challenges that arise over issues such as the Competition Workgroup recommendations.

To accept the Competition Workgroup recommendation to dismiss the various proposals that they made since the Fall Meeting and use the 2008 competition validity system for the 2009 competition season. The Competition Workgroup will use the next six months to develop a compromise validity system for 2010. The motion passes by written ballot with 14 yes; 5 no and 2 abstentions.
