The sporting objective: To cross by hang-glider and paraglider from coast to coast of northeast Brazil, leaving from Recife in the extreme east of Brazil’s coast, to the Lencois Maranhenses, on the north coast, crossing six Brazilian States.

The aim is to cross from Recife to Lencois Maranhenses (one of the most famous and beautiful Brazilian national parks) by hang glider and paraglider, travelling 1080km, during seven days of flying, taking-off from seven different sites.

The "Route 1080" will be the biggest free-flying rally in the World.

The tasks will be of RACE between the cities, that's why its called "Race and Rally."
