I know that The Oz Report reaches a huge number of pilots quickly and this matter is exceptionally time sensitive. Pennsylvania Representative Michael Hanna needs to receive a lot of feedback ASAP to inform him that Hyner View state park is not only a very important flying site, but also that the park contributes a huge amount of tourism dollars to the local economy. The town of Renovo (Hyner's back yard) is quite depressed and has very little visible means of support. They have always supported the hang gliding community and now we believe it's time to support them in return.

I am sending this for Mike Winters, Park Manager. I understand this past weekend he mentioned to you the possibility of the closing of Hyner View. He wanted you to be aware that we did receive a list of the parks they intend to close if the budget passes as currently written. Unfortunately, Hyner Run, Hyner View and Little Pine are several of the parks slated to be closed.
