Barographic altitude for CIVL
Brian Harris at Chabre2009 <<worlds>> sends:
The local regulations for the Worlds in Laragne have been updated and are available on the website www.chabre2009.com Local Regs page. Major changes are:
Altitude Verification including an addendum describing how altitude in track logs will be checked for airspace & competition altitude infringements. This addendum is found here.
Addendum added on Insurance requirements.
Clarification to the wording on Glider Certification.
An addendum on Sprog measuring will follow as soon as we receive it.
The addendum states:
To verify infractions of competition altitude limits, track log altitude data will be standardised using standard barometric altitude (Pressure Altitude) of 1013.25hPa. ... Typically, all the Flytec/Brauniger instruments ... will download correctly and the Pressure Altitude will be recorded in the kml and igc track log.
