Weather:
The wind at the top launch.
The satellites.
The local weather service forecast here.
Also I am using XCSkies for the soaring forecast. You can sign up for a month for very little.
The wind was a bit much today out of the northwest. I decided early on not to go flying today. By 2 PM it was over developing every where. The winds were a bit high in the landing zone causing for some interesting landings. The winds were high and out of the launch from the west which made for interesting launches and tough times on launch (Scott had to abort his first attempt from the lower north launch as one wing got high).
Registration started today and we found that CIVL would not accept Mike Meier's Certified Glider Statement and the whole US team used our prototype letters from Wills Wing for our certified gliders. We were all unwilling to sign the standard statement, so our only option was to declare our non prototype gliders as prototypes.
