The Hungarian team's protest was denied because they didn't file a written complaint first. They have decided to not continue with this procedure but will appeal the withdrawal of the Sporting License at the FAI level, after paying a large fee to have an appeal.

The whole affair revealed some problems with the FAI codes and documents (as far as I'm concerned) and pointed up again the problem of CIVL Jury members being seen, fairly I believe, as not impartial. Just because the Jury denied the protest on procedural grounds, does not mean that they were not biased, not at least didn't have the appearance of bias.
