Altitude Restrictions
Due to active airspace in the region of Buzet there will be an altitude limit for competition pilots of 2438 metres (8000 feet) amsl which will be controlled by altitude checks during the download at the end of each task.
The information used for this event will be GPS Altitude and, therefore, all pilots are required to use at least one GPS unit which records GPS altitude along with the track.
The next paragliding world cup will use GPS altitude, when a much better measurement that was proven at the recent world hang gliding championships is available.
