I assume that the Competition Workgroup Proposal will once again be presented to the USHPA BOD at the Fall BOD meeting. I also assume that this time it will first go to the proper committee, the Competition Committee, before it goes to the full BOD. The full BOD doesn't have the time or attention to review such a complex proposal in its meeting, and it was mistake that it went to the full BOD previously.

But, I could be wrong, it has happened. Perhaps the  whole thing has been dropped.

Proposed agenda item #2:

Drop the Competition Workgroup Proposal or, if not, then consider this alternative version that would set up a new competition committee to deal with these types of competitions. The redlined version is here.

The alternative proposal would set up a Class A competition system that would be separate from the NTSS system, but would have a pilot ranking system as per the original Competition Workgroup Proposal. Essentially it would be used to sanction non NTSS-based non GAP-scored competitions, such as the King Mountain meet, and the Chelan Cross Country Classic.
