No "deep" links to the USHPA web site
Got a nice email back from Tim. Thanking me for such quick action
re the Competition Workgroup proposal. A few minutes ago I linked to the
original document on the USHPA web site. Tim wrote:
Well, I don't know if fair use allows me to tell quote exactly
what he wrote, but, I'm not a lawyer. To paraphrase what he wrote it was that under
the "terms of use" I can't link to the USHPA web except at the "top" web page,
but under the circumstances they would give me special permission to link to this
web page:
http://www.ushpa.aero/member_comp_restructure.asp.
And he said that if I wished to link to any other web page on the USHPA web site
in the future I would have to contact the USHPA Executive Director to request
permission which permission may be given or withheld in the sole discretion of
the USHPA.
I've linked to links on the USHPA web site for years and years. I
linked "deep" into the USHPA web site again in an article
on their calendars from Martin Palmaz, of the USHPA, that I just published. He sent me the link
on the USHPA web site. Are you telling me that I can't link to the USHPA web
site except at the top page? I don't think you can get away with that.
We'll see. You'll find the Google version of that document (on the Google server)
here.
