Dear non-competition and competition pilots,

Please help me (and all of us) understand what you think about competition and
its status by taking this short survey. It takes less than four minutes. This is my own idea and it is not supported or instigated by anyone other than me – a regular pilot
without an agenda.

This project started by me wondering if it is just a small vocal minority
ruffling feathers on the many sides of this issue and what the overall
population thought about this stuff. For instance, is it just the comp pilots
that care about competition or is it the non-competition pilots that also
support competition even though they themselves don’t compete? Would more pilots
attend competitions if it was "easier"… how could it be made "easier"?

Please share your thoughts.

The results are public so we can all learn from them
here.

I’ll be posting analysis as results come in. If you include your email in the
survey I’ll email you as updates to the analysis are available. If there is a
certain analysis report you’d like to see, let me know.

I’ll be posting a notice about this survey on the club sites that are listed on
the USHPA web page. As you can imagine that’s a time (and registration)
intensive process so if you are a member of any other club websites, please
copy/paste this letter with links on your board and shoot me an email with what
board it got on so I don’t need to register for that one.

Since it will be impossible for me to follow up on every board for comments,
