I sent the question of how we should choose the 2010 (and beyond)
US National Hang Gliding Champion to forty one individuals that included top
forty pilots and meet directors/organizers. I have not heard back from all of
them yet but this is what I have so far:

1) There were no votes for a specific two event series  (naming ahead of
time two specific competitions that will make up the National series)

2) There were twenty votes for a ANY  two events series (your total points
from your best two competitions from among all the USHPA sanctioned
competitions)

3) There were three votes for a single declared event, a US Nationals
competition,

4) There was one vote split between a single event and any two events
