Auto accident with pilots in Namibia

Translated:
A serious car accident occurred Monday, January 4 at 3 PM. Several
cars of new pilots were driving between the capital Windhoek and our farm,
and that of Gil Souviron, Patrick Chopard and Jean Charles Balembois made
several barrel rolls in a straight line just 500 meters before the entrance gate
of farm.
Jean Charles was killed instantly, Gil and Patrick were injured and transported
to a hospital 130 km away. The German pilot Clemens, physician-surgeon, who
followed five minutes later in the Spanish pilots car provided first aid
and managed with the Embassy of France the night evacuation of wounded to the
best of clinic in South Africa in Johannesburg.
Gil suffered two fractures in his arm. Patrick has several fractures to both
legs below the knees and ankles and it just had an operation. His spleen was
removed due to internal bleeding.
The families of three victims are of course aware the situation and in contact
with with the embassies of Namibia and South Africa. We send our support to all
the pilots on this expedition.
Further news will follow on this blog as soon as possible, the internet is very
difficult to use at the moment and we expect messages from the clinic.
Terrible news. Thanks to Dave Kinlan.
