Archaeopteryx News
Stages of Development
Team Archaeopteryx writes:
After four years time of highly intensive development the new
Archaeopteryx took off on 14 December 2009 for the very first time. Since then
in dozens of flights test pilot André Hediger conducted the entire test
procedure which was planned. He stated that the brand-new airplane behaves in
such a way at first attempt how it was intended! As his conclusion of the
successful flight testing he expressed the team his enthusiasm with a fine
aerobatics program! Even in the current very poor snowy winter flying conditions the new
Archaeopteryx already mastered also flights over more than one hour of duration.
The Archaeopteryx is now ready for the spring thermal conditions and first cross
country flights! Thus, the development of the serial Archaeopteryx is completed and the
production is being build up. A set of four fuselages are in production. In
February the factory owned Archaeopteryx glider will be ready again for further
flights and in March the delivery of the first Archaeopteryx to its first
customer will take place. This Sunday it will be reported on the television for the first time about the
new Archaeopteryx and its development. The business magazine CashTV reports on
Swiss channel SF2 around 22:00. It also makes us happy to announce that we will be able to present the new
Archaeopteryx together with our new partner Lanitz Prena Folien Factory GmbH on
its stand (No. 125, hall B1) on the exhibition AERO Friedrichshafen of 08.04 -
11.04.2010. Two weeks later we will hold a flight demo in Wald (ZH),
Switzerland. Further information on that will follow later on.
