Instrumentation for powered harnesses

I have been working over the past while on a device I call WiMoP
(wireless means of propulsion sensor) which wirelessly connects to a Flytec 6030
and displays the rpm of my power harness engine. According to FAI documents I
have been reading, a flight recorder like the Flytec, which can record the use
of means of propulsion as part of the IGC file, is acceptable to qualify a
glider fitted with this type of harness as a participant in FAI sanctioned
events and record attempts. Since I now have my system working I thought it was time to let the hang gliding
community in on the news. We are still a little ways away from a production unit
but the prototype is working and proves to be quite robust in terms of immunity
to interference from nearby radio transmitters I have tested. The production
unit will be a small lightweight box of reasonable cost powered by two AA cells
and mounted back by the engine out of reach of the pilot during flight. WiMoP can be used by powered paragliders as well as powered sailplanes if they
have a Flytec instrument on board.
