CIVL Plenary meeting next weekend
Cross Country Magazine is sending a reporter to the CIVL Plenary
(hey, its not just a paragliding picture magazine any more, now it actually
reports some news), and if you want to follow the CIVL Plenary, then Cross
Country is ready to help you out. The big issue for paraglider pilots (and hang
glider pilots who just get a great laugh out of the whole controversy, as I do)
is the attempt by the "other" manufacturers to sideline Ozone's new paraglider
(or is it a hang glider) that just happened to beat them all in the last PWC
competition using the lame excuse that it has small bits of carbon in it. (There
are other ways of expressing this, but come on.)
You'll find background information on this issue
here. Cross Country will be updating on Twitter
here, on Facebook
here, and maybe on their own web site
here. I hope that they report on all sorts of issues, not just the carbon
bits story.
The meeting starts on Thursday, the 18th.
