Oz Report readers will no doubt remember that we were the first to
break the story that you can link directly to the on-line version of the USHPA
Hang Gliding and Paragliding Magazine (in PDF format). We also encouraged (wink,
wink) readers to link to it directly (which someone did right away in the
Oz
Report forum). Then an enterprising reader took that PDF file and uploaded
to a
web site that turned it into a very cool web based publication. This caused
quite a stir at the USHPA (EC? BOD? office? ED?).

Well, the USHPA EC/BOD/Publications Committee, has to come with a policy. Will
they "allow" the Magazine to be linked to directly and thereby made available to
non members? Is the Magazine a member service or is it a tool for outreach and
growth? Should it be restricted or made widely available?

I have been contacted and told by Paul Montville, the executive director of the
USHPA, that I can link to the Magazine in the Oz Report until the policy is set.
So I will do so.
