It looks like pilots at the Worlds will just have to sign statements that the
gliders that they are flying are in a certified configuration whether they have
any way of knowing that or not.

Manfred and me tried very hard to make a point about the prototype
topic, and the vote was 5:4 against the Dutch propoosal of banning prototypes at
Cat 1 comps in the working group meeting. Then in the plenary, I dont know why
they suddenly had the majority on their side, as I had to leave early (Lufthansa
had called me for standby, changed my schedule about 4 times before they finally
cancelled my flight).
