Should the USHPA talk to its critics, face to face?

Pilots are heading south to central Florida for Wills Wing Demo Days right after
the USHPA BOD meeting. Should the "USHPA" be sure to attend and set up a bull
session to address there? I know that a number of USHPA regional directors will
be there. What about USHPA officers? USHPA executive director? Should they see
this as an opportunity to deal with the many complaints that are voiced on the
hang gliding forum, for example? I invite the USHPA to send its representatives, and all the Regional Directors
that want to come down to attend a moderated informal scheduled Question and
Answer session either at Quest Air or at Wallaby Ranch or both. I will volunteer
to moderate the session. The idea is that USHPA reps and Regional Directors get
to introduce themselves (very quickly) and then they are open to answer
questions. No big presentation by the USHPA first. The point, of course, is to listen carefully to each other, not just yell and be
defensive. It would be a good idea if after a complaint was aimed at you, that
you said in your own words what you heard the other person say, so that what
they said to you is acknowledged.
