I've traded the use of the latest version of the Wills Wing T2C
in competitions for Wills Wing's ads in the Oz Report. I picked up the new T2C 144 from
Steve Pearson and Mike Meiers at the Andy Jackson flight park just before I left
for Florida. I had an opportunity to speak with Steve about what was new with
the T2C. The new version of the T2C looks great and I'm excited about flying it
(which I did on Monday).

Steve has added an extra batten in the root area respacing the battens. He has
designed a new VG system reducing the number of pulleys by two, and reducing the
leverage from 16:1 to 15:1, but reducing the force required as the resistance
due to the extra pulleys had been eliminated.

The sail cut has been changed with different reinforcements.

The biggest change is the sail clothe used in the T2C. Weight is reduced using the
new UV resistant poly film. The glider I get to use is
all white on top and on the leading edge (two different UV resistant poly films)
but that is because the adhesive used is white. The standard film is clear as it
uses a clear adhesive.

The film/sail clothe is lighter and this apparently is a reason for the fact
that the handling of the T2C has been significantly improved.

I picked up my glider a week too early to get the latest bling enhancements. I'll
report on them soon.
