Ive been flying my new Freedom 190 down here at our winter
residence in Fountain Hills, AZ. This is not your normal single surface glider! http://www.northwing.com/freedom-hang-glider.htm The glider aero tows very well. As quickly as it rolls flying slow, youd
think thatd translate to being squirrely on tow, but quite the opposite is
true. My experience has been that the roll dampens when flying fast behind the
tug. We were towing around 32 mph in pretty choppy air. I think the curved tips,
which have a very low tension, especially when compared with a Sport 2, are the
reason. I was using just a pro-tow bridle.
Scott is a big boy and the 190 is the right size for him. I'll be
flying a Northwing Freedom at the
Texas Single
Surface Shootout.
