It was dark again in the morning with low cu's, but the satellite
showed heavy overcast over us and a large area around us. There was rain to our
south west. The forecast was for a 50% chance of shower. The NAM, GFS, and RUC
models were calling for none to light lift.

Joel called the task off at around 12:30. Then at 3 PM the sky opened up in
Luling, a few miles south of the Carter Memorial Airfield, and the sky was full
of nice flat bottoms cu's. Looks like we called it too early.

It was just yesterday that Joel said that they get great flights here late in
the afternoon and it was just yesterday that we started flying just before 4 PM.
