Second impressions of the Icaro 2000 Laminar Z9 13.7 (149 sq ft)

The Z9 continues to impress me as an excellent glider. I got a chance to fly
again on Wednesday for a couple of hours flying out over the flats as well as on
the hill side at Montegrappa and the glider was very responsive. I had to climb
up from low over a church after one of my excursions out into the flats and the
glider twirled nicely next to the hillside never giving me the feeling that I
couldn't control it. I had a much better landing than on the first flight in zero wind, but still it
wasn't perfect as I dropped to my knees. I would say that either I haven't
learned the secret yet or it is more difficult to get the timing right than the
Wills Wing T2C 144 or the Northwing Freedom 170 which are the two gliders that I
have flown recently. I'll work on it today. Worked on it on Thursday. Flared early because I was heading for corn, should
have killed the corn, as it was only two feet high. Okay landing but my back is
sore.
