A very nice takeoff. Pilots used to launch at a much lower part of
the hill in that same place, but some friends put a ramp in that upper part of
the hill some eight years ago. Not many people know it or fly it but I think it
has great potential and you'll probably like it. This year was ruined by all the
rain, very few flyable days with low ceiling.
It's about 70km south of Monterrey, Mexico, the road takes you to a small town
called Rayones, so we call it that. It's about 1230m asl, ground is about 580mts
asl.
It's great because you have the Sierra Madre mountains going north, north west
and you also have flatlands going north toward Texas.
This year has been terrible, but it usually works great.
