For any pilots who might want to try their luck at finding emeralds on days when
the winds are not right at Moore Mountain (10 miles away), the public can dig
for a fee ($3/day). Pilots who might want to travel through the area and fly
some should send an email to The Buzzard Club at

prior to arrival. The fall is a good time to fly in the N.C. foothills.
