Team Challenge

The structure of Team Challenge is unique. TC matches advanced
pilots to teams made up of intermediate pilots who want to learn more about XC
flying. The A pilots responsibility is to mentor their B level and C level
pilots on cross country tasks. It is great fun! We have Dennis Pagen and Mike
Barber coming to lead seminars and do skills clinics all week. This experience
is priceless! The weather has been very dry. Most days we are getting 4000 to 5000 over launch
height. We still have places sponsored by The Foundation for Free Flight for
pilots who want to learn about Team Challenge and take the structure and
teaching techniques home with them to mentor others hoping to advance in the
sport of hang gliding. We have great camping right at the Henson's Gap launch site with hot showers and
wireless internet. We plan to have breakfasts and dinners on site and the superb
seminars and pilot briefings under our pavilion lead by some of the most
accomplished leaders in hang gliding. Moyes USA, Lookout Mountain Flight Park
and Flytec USA have given generous donations of gifts for our daily meetings.
The cost is low and the learning curve is steep! If you are a hang 3 or better with aspirations to learn more about safe fun XC
flying, or you are an experienced XC pilot who wants to share your knowledge
with pilots eager to learn, come join us at the Tennessee Tree Toppers Team
Challenge 2010. We will register pilots Saturday September 18th and 19th. Come
join us for a great week of learning from some of the best in hang gliding and
your A team leaders. Interested parties can check out our website at
http://www.tennesseetreetoppers.org/ and our competition website at
http://www.sequatchiecompetition.com/index.html If you want to apply
for a FFF sponsorship, please email me at <olliettt1955> and give us your credentials and what you plan to
do with what you learned at TC.
