I just got a call from Gary Trudeau up in New England who sadly
reported that Jeff Nicolay passed away last night. Jeff had been having several
health issues these past months and unfortunately they became insurmountable.

Jeff was a great friend, instructor, humorist, partier, and a true Hang Gliding
icon. Jeff WAS Morningside Flight Park. Over a nearly 40 year Hang Gliding
career, Jeff did it all. I’m sure his student count is in the thousands.

A service is being planned for sometime early in October, I’m told and it will
be huge.

I’m really going to miss that guy.
