I was going through the closet last week when I came across what
looked like High Energy QS 550 tandem chute. The lines had been cut by Emergency
Medial Technicians when Arlan Birkett was killed in a tandem crash with a
student a few years ago. I sent the chute to Betty at High Energy and she
confirmed the chute was in good shape and she replaced the lines (at cost). I
then put a ad on the Oz Report and Jon Orders of
www.vancouverhanggliding.ca agreed to buy the chute for a $300 (USD)
donation to "Birdmen helping in Ecuador" and the Betty's cost for replacing the
lines. The chute belonged to Arlan and I know he would be happy helping kids in Ecuador
and that the chute found a new home flying again. Thanks Betty Thanks Jon Thanks Oz Report Thanks Birdmen Thanks Arlan
