We are looking for a paragliding or hang gliding instructor (or
better yet- biwingual) who wants to run a business and school at our local
flying site. The catch is that most of the really difficult stuff has already
been taken care of by mother nature, site owners, and previous pilots. Heres
what I mean: LAUNCH and awesome LANDING FIELD are OWNED by pilots There is already a pro-shop and glider storage shed in the LZ Launch and LZ are 5 minutes from one 4-lane US Highway, and 10 minutes from
another. LZ is a 25 minute drive from center of Huntsville AL, which is one of the
highest per-capita income cities in the SouthEast. (population ~300,000) Makes for great leave the office at 1:30 PM and soar for thermal days, and
at 4 or 5 PM for glass-off days (during daylight savings time). One good training hill and a few decent training hills located nearby Launch is suitable for first mountain flights for hang gliders and paragliders Walk to launch is a horizontal 30 yards from the parking area (also
pilot-owned), camping space available up top and at bottom Site is actively maintained and flown by a group of local hang glider pilots There is a local university to recruit from which has had a hang gliding class
in the recent past Site records: 102 miles on a Hang Glider (RamAir) and 50 + miles on a
Paraglider What were looking for is an enthusiastic instructor who wants to build the
business by building the number of local pilots. The current land owner /
business owner is an active pilot who is not able to spend the time on building
the community, but is willing to be very supportive in order to see the flying
site and local community flourish. Contact point is Robert at 256-651-4422
