Aerotowing in Central Victoria

We have a Dragonfly based at a small ex sailplane airfield in
central Victoria (Locksley). The owners are receptive to our operation as are
the local farmers. We have three qualified tug pilots and a growing cohort of
aerotow endorsed hang glider pilots. I am doing endorsements by flying new guys
for a tandem or three in a Wills wing Falcon 3 Tandem to show them the ropes and
then sending them solo. This creates much less drama than sending them solo
first up! It has been a unusually long, cold, wet winter here (but the farmers are all
happy), but we have still managed to get some training in with a few cloud suck
fights. Yesterday was the warmest day here since May and we had Cu's all over
the sky. Lots of beaming faces at days end, especially a couple of guys just
completed their endorsements and experiencing being delivered to a thermal for
the first time.
