Quick instructions: - Control box is in the top right corner.
- Type the name of a town into the Go To box and press enter
- Click "Create" to create a new waypoint
- While it is green you can drag it around, of course you can zoom in to place
it precisely
- Click on it to view and edit details
- Elevation is automatically retrieved from Google whenever you move the
waypoint
- Click on "Lock" to lock the waypoint in place (it turns yellow)
- Double-click on a waypoint to zoom to it
- Double-click on the map to zoom out and see all waypoints
- Click on "Download" to download all the waypoints in Geo (GPSDump) format You can edit existing waypoint sets: - Drag and drop an existing waypoint file (Geo, CompeGPS format) onto the
"Upload a file" box in the top right corner
- You need to click on a waypoint and "unlock" it to be able to edit it
- When you have finished adding, removing and deleting waypoints click on
"Download" Other features: - You can put a radius around each turnpoint
- You can also type waypoint names into the Go To box to go directly to a
waypoint
- The description can be retrieved from Google when you click on the refresh
button by the input box - this sets the description to be the postal address of
the location - it saves you having to look up or type in village names!
- You can cycle through all the waypoints using the left and right arrow
buttons: great for checking all the waypoints in a set!
- You can download the waypoint coordinates in a text format ready to print out
and give to your pilots
- To make a turnpoint map, all you need to do is take a screenshot! On my TODO list I have: - Make it prettier
- Preserve turnpoint radii
- Give some options for choosing colours
