The spoiler, cutting down wind noise on the bike

Slipstreamz Spoilers are unique in using the front strap of your
helmet to smooth the airflow over the side of your head and ears for improved
cycling performance, enjoyment and safety. To experience the effect of using The
Spoiler, simply place an index finger against your temple just in front of your
ear on your next ride. However, installing them requires that you either
introduce a fold-over in your front straps each and every time the helmet is
fitted to your head, or that you re-assemble your helmet straps. $7.00.
I have worn these (that follow) for a few years and they cut the
wind noise by about half. But my finger (properly placed) reduces wind noise by
about 90%:

I cant believe it, you ARE the Davis Straub of the Oz Report! I flew Hang
Gliders competitively from 1980 to 1985, and have flown sailplanes ever since.
For whatever reason I subscribed to the Oz Report a few years ago, and noticed
that you spend some time in Boise, correct? Our family farm was in the Dry Lake
area just six miles from Pickle Butte. I learned to fly hang gliders in the
Eagle foothills and have flown all over Idaho and Nevada. I moved to South
Africa in 84 after finishing my Mining Engineering degree, and have lived here
ever since.
This is where Lonnie thinks that he trained thirty years ago:

It is out Willow Creek Road in Eagle, Idaho, and I happen to have been riding
out that road when I was staying in Boise (actually in Eagle on the Boise/Eagle
dividing line) in October and went right by this training site. It looks great
and has easy access.
