At Climate Progress, Joe Romm tells of his recent interview with
Kevin Trenberth: "I find it systematically tends to get underplayed and it often
gets underplayed by my fellow scientists. Because one of the opening statements,
which I’m sure you’ve probably heard is “Well you can’t attribute a single event
to climate change.”

Of course, you also can't attribute any particular outcome of the
roll of the dice to the fact that the dice are loaded (unless they are so loaded
that you always get a seven or eleven). The climate dice are loaded and this
year, Queensland is rolling a lot more sevens and elevens.
