Why not the hang gliding forum? Why not individual pilot blogs? Why not Facebook
or Twitter?

The Oz Report is a news source for the world wide hang gliding community. When
something happens in the community you are most likely to hear about it first at
the Oz Report. The Oz report collects the news from many different sources (hang
glider pilots). It aggregates the news. Other web sites don't bring the news
together.

The Oz Report is known as a place to find the news so sources send the news here
if they want it read. The problem with blogs (as many blog authors know) is that
their readership is too light. They are using Facebook and Twitter to
communicate, but again that doesn't bring in the readership to the levels that a
central point news source can.

The Oz Report uses Facebook and Twitter (as many blogger do) as a way to send
out timely updates for significant news and drive readers to the Oz Report web
site. Still most of the Oz Report readers read the email version.
