Tin Cup - Living it hard
&item_name=One+year+subscription/donation+to+the+Oz+Report&no_note=1&tax=0¤cy_code=USD">
I had a chance to ride Mike Glennon's mountain bike around town last evening and
boy that was exciting. I knew from being in the car when we go to launch that
the narrow streets and tiny sidewalks are filled with bicycles, motorbikes,
scooters, cars, trucks, buses, horse carts, and pedestrians. And there is a lot
of interaction in many different directions. They say that you can't go to sleep
driving here. It was great fun getting around this lively town with much to recommend it, but
be advised that it is a town where a family man appreciates earning $10/day
driving for us. It seems to be thriving, but it is not an economic powerhouse. It's great to be here and share the experiences of hang gliding in South
America. The pilots are very friendly and helpful as can be. I went looking for
a hardware store to get some duct tape to pay back one pilot who helped me out
(there are many). I had Mike Glennon tell me the word for tape (Cintas). They
had Cintas de Ducto at a small hardware store on the main street. The air at the gas station is free. I haven't seen free air in the US in
decades. Living here is cheap and the air is free. We are eating typical Colombian food for "lunch" (about 4:30 PM). I haven't
quite figured out dinner yet. Please, help us out. Support something that you find useful so that it can
continue to be there for you. You can send $20 or more for a yearly subscription/donation. To pay for
