We didn't fly on Sunday even though the sky was full of cu's
(unlike on Saturday when we struggled in the blue with a low inversion). The
forecast for gusts to 25 mph and winds 10 to 15 mph out of the east northeast
discouraged us. It would have been possible to getaway before noon in the
lighter less gust winds, but then we would have to land later (hopefully much
later) in stronger winds. If it had been actually northeast or north northeast,
even better, we would have risked it. Here what it looked like:

flag in the front yard. I've used it a bunch when landing (and there are
plenty of wind socks here at Quest Air).
