Is there a duty to support the Oz Report if you read it?

Public radio is supported by the listening public. A very small amount of money
comes from the federal government, and the teeny tiny amount gets the House
Republicans frothing at the mouth lying about cutting the deficit by cutting out
the money for NPR. But it is a bulls eye for the blind. The money that comes
from the NPR fund raising (like our March fund raising) represents a
relationship, represents a recognition of value and of an obligation on the part
of both parties. NPR to produce shows that people want to listen to, and the
public to directly support NPR.

It would not be a good idea to sever that relationship between the public and
public radio. In the same way it is important that there be an honest and
ongoing relationship between what we do here at the Oz Report and our readers.
It is important that you are a major source of income for us. It is important
that we cover news from the hang gliding community as thoroughly as is possible
given our level of funding and personal resources.

I've always got my ears open for a story, for a scandal, for good and bad
behavior. It's because of that orientation that I can find the story. Someone's
got to do it.
