The Red Rock Paragliding 2011 US Nationals
We have a good feeling about the town of Richfield, Utah, because
last September we stopped there after driving north from Casa Grande after the
Santa Cruz Flats Race, when our diesel fuel line developed a crack and leaked
diesel all over the engine and the driveway of the Days Inn. We left two days
later with our new to us 2008 Dodge RAM 3500 from
a tiny little Dodge dealer
five bicycle accessible blocks from the motel. The area is quite beautiful and wild and apparently has great launches at
11,000' with cloud bases at 18,000' (or higher). You can find out about this
area and the competition here: http://redrocknationals.com/ http://www.cuasa.com/ http://www.cuasa.com/Monroe.htm Of course, this would be an excellent hang gliding site for those pilots willing
to brave the cold and oxygen depleted heights.
