Sail sales, not glider sales
A few days ago I saw Mike Barber putting a new sail on Derreck
Turner's Litespeed. A few days before that a new sail arrived here at Quest Air
for another Litespeed. And, of course, Jamie Shelden, put on a new sail on her
Litesport, Damien, long before that sail was any where near worn out. With some hang gliders so expensive and with changes to them so minor for an
extended period, it makes economic sense for buyers (but not so much for
manufacturers) for you to buy a new sail rather than the latest glider. Could
this present a problem for the industry? Maybe they had better concentrate on growing the sport as a way to maintain or
increase sales. Groupon, anyone?
