Day 3:
https://picasaweb.google.com/105386951176123199820/110414FM2011Day3# Very calm day with only two pilots ready for air-tow take off. It was sadly
pretty stable and the sky was completely veiled with no visibility on the Atlas
whatsoever. Guillaume took off first around 1pm and went for his first Moroccan XC flight.
Weak lift make it difficult for Guillaume to climb and the ceiling is only at
3000m for the next 30 Kms. He landed about an hour later at the first waypoint
from the list that Bernard had created for us before we left; by the main road,
in front of a hotel-restaurant. Lots of the local village kids rushed on him a bit mesmerized by this strange
bird that just landed. They kept him busy while he was waiting for the retrieve. Aodrenn who took off right after Guillaume had a really hard time to catch a
lift and climb in these weak thermals and he ended up landing back to the camp
not long after. I believe that he was lacking the necessary motivation due to
his nice flight and great ceiling the day before. Three pilots arrive tomorrow at a couple of different Moroccan airports and the
weather forecast is promising: 4000m to 4500m
