Monday at Quest Air, a light east wind day
http://flyingjochen.blogspot.com/
The RUC forecast was for east southeast winds, light. The NAM said southeast,
but the RUC turned out to be right. Both forecasts said no cu's, but with a bit
of south component in it I felt that there would be clouds later. Sure enough around one o'clock the cu's started and while they were thin and
widely scattered they were high and plentiful enough to encourage pilots to get
going. Jamie and I sat it out getting ready for the big day tomorrow (she had to
do her taxes). The cu's thinned out greatly by 4 PM. Tom Lanning landed south at the Seminole
glider port on the way out. Lauren turned around early and made it back to Quest
Air. Jochen made it back from the turnpoints at the intersection of Deen Still
and 33 and Wallaby. Dave on a VR made it back maybe half an hour later.
