The overrunning, part 2
At 7:30 AM the overrunning began once again. Not quite as thick at
first as the day before, but definitely there. The wind was stronger than on
Tuesday but still manageable. Only Larry Bunner seemed willing to launch at
Quest Air. He didn't go early at least. Down at the Florida Ridge Curt Warren was ready to go soon after 10 AM. He
launched at 11:15 AM when the cloud base was 2,700' and the wind 15 mph out of
the south. He made one kilometer a minute for the first two hours and then fifty
kilometers in the third hour. He only flew for another half hour. He didn't have
a driver and so landed at Quest Air before 3 PM for a ride back to the Ridge
with Christian Titone.
