Not too cold or windy in Kankakee
Pat Halfhill and Pete Lehmann went cross country from Enjoy field on Tuesday after the sky cleared up soon after the competition day was cancelled. The cu's started forming immediately, but Pat and then Pete took off later in the afternoon after a leisurely lunch.
It was windy and gusty on launch but the towing went smoothly and Pete mentioned that he saw about fourteen knots wind while thermaling. Pat had the longest flight at 38+ miles.
