The Texas Single Surface Shootout - day two
The winds were 20 mph gusting to 28 mph. Dan Bereczki and I set up
but we were the only ones willing to go at least that far. The winds were
perfect for a world record attempt, if I had launched at 10 AM or even earlier
when the gust factor was less, but I didn't have that in mind.
The task was cancelled and we can expect light winds tomorrow out of the south.
The pilots mentioned in my article yesterday were not happy with what I wrote.
The meet organizer was very happy with it. I usually try to make both sides
unhappy so I know that I've got at least some purchase on both points of view. I
was wrong to not be more forgiving of their actions.
