Flavio chose four pilots by objective criteria and four by
subjective

Just to be clear I was under the impression that Flavio chose the
top three ranked pilots because of an objective criteria (they were the top
three ranked pilots) and rule. I didn't make that clear above. I didn't make it
clear that he chose the fourth pilot because of an objective criteria, because I
had forgotten what I had been told that there was a specific objective criteria
for that choice.

Four pilots were apparently chosen by subjective criteria (as Filippo confirms).
This would include Filippo Oppici, Karl Reichegger,  Saun Selenati, and
until this afternoon, Tullio Gervasoni.
